  • What Sets the KJV Apart From Other Bibles (Part 1?)

There are hundreds of “Bibles” in the English language. Pick two of them up, and you’re bound to find differences between them. You may be thinking, “They basically say the same thing,” but the differences are significant. For example, did you know that the New International Version (NIV), one of the most popular non-KJV Bibles, can be used to “prove” that Jesus Christ and Lucifer/Satan are the same? Even a nonbeliever knows that isn’t true. With all these Bibles, how can you be sure which Bible to believe?

    Enter the King James Bible

Now, I am a believer that the King James Bible is God’s perfect word. Every Christian ought to believe that God is Almighty. (After all, it’s one of his names!) In order for God to be Almighty, he has to have the ability to preserve his word, and he must do so, or the devil would always have the claim that God isn’t powerful enough. The King James Bible is the only Bible that says God will preserve his words:

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalms 12:6-7)

Not only is this a promise that his words are preserved, but God also mentions that his words are “purified seven times.” If you dig into the history of the King James Bible’s translation, you would see “seven” written all over it: the Received Text being transcribed into seven languages (with English being the seventh), the seven English translations of the Received Text (with the King James Bible being the seventh), the seven years it took to translate the King James Bible (1604-1611) – these are just to name a few.

The Lord Jesus promised that his words “shall not pass away.”

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35)

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Mark 13:31)

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (Luke 21:33)

God takes his words seriously, so seriously that he puts them above his own name!

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalms 138:2)

    Modern “Bibles” Are Not Bibles

Some people will argue that the modern “Bibles” are still scriptural, but I wholeheartedly disagree. The King James Bible comes from over 5,700 manuscripts that come in agreement, whereas the modern Bibles come from MUCH fewer manuscripts that have discrepancies between them. That’s why there’s so many of them.

Also, the modern “Bibles” are based on Alexandrian manuscripts. If you study the Bible, you’ll notice that Egypt has been a type of the world, which is at enmity with God. Alexandria is specifically mentioned in the Bible as a source of rejection of the word of God:

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. (Acts 6:8-11)

The modern “Bibles” have actually been an attack on God’s Biblical doctrines. The “Bible” that my father owns, the Good News Bible/Today’s English Version, fails to mention the blood of Jesus. (Ask yourself, “Who would want to get rid of what cleanses your sins away?”) As mentioned earlier, the NIV makes the devil and the Lord Jesus Christ one. (“I wonder who would want the devil to be deified?”) Many modern “Bibles” have verses that are completely removed. (“Who removed them? And what was removed?”)

God takes his words seriously. These corruptions will be met with divine punishment:

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2)

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

Anyone who claims that modern “Bibles” are acceptable or better than the King James Bible must prove that the King James Bible is imperfect. (They can’t.)

  • Blog Technical Issues

I know I haven’t posted a lot of content, but I am trying to get my blog’s technical issues resolved. Here’s the list:

    1. Make blog posts visible on the Blog Posts page

I do not know why I cannot see the blog posts from the Blog Posts page. From the admin side, I see them, but when I view what an ordinary reader sees, it says there are no posts. Edit: It seems like a list of blog posts are visible now. Now I need to remember to check if it automatically updates when I publish a new post.

    2. Display only a portion of the blog articles that are on the front page

I understand that showing two (or more) FULL posts on one page is intimidating. I would really like to cut the bulk.

    3. Formatting

I still am not used to the process of formatting pages/posts, hence why this blog currently has a very basic appearance.

At the moment, these are my biggest issues with maintaining the blog.
